AI’nt That Easy #36: Build Crew Agent Generator

Last month, I found myself drowning in AI agent configurations. As a developer working on multiple AI projects, I was spending hours manually setting up different AI agents for various tasks. It felt like I was writing the same boilerplate code over and over again. That’s when I decided to build something that would make this process easier — not just for me, but for other developers too.

When we see AI as something that are best with automation to remove repetitive task. And building agents again and again is surely a repetitive process at some extent. That’s exactly what happened to me.

Enter the CrewAI Generator

What I built is essentially a Streamlit app that takes plain English requirements and turns them into fully configured AI agent teams. Think of it as a “smart assistant” that helps you build other AI assistants.

Here’s what makes it special:

The app takes your requirements in simple English — no need for technical jargon or complex specifications. Just tell it what you need, like “I need a team to analyze customer data and create visualizations,” and it figures out the rest.

For example, when I needed to create a comprehensive travel planning team, I simply typed:
